What it is

A plate-type foam CD spider, also known as a CD foam holder, foam CD dot, foam CD button, foam CD hub, DVD spider or CD mounting button, is a round polyethylene foam button with a self-adhesive back. The buttons are supplied together in one foam plate and are lifted out one at a time.

How it works

  1. Lift a foam button out of the plate.
  2. Press its adhesive back firmly onto the file, folder, catalogue or book.
  3. Slide the CD or DVD onto the button through the disc’s centre hole.
